Lisl Auman Information Project
Lisl Auman's family and friends are continuing the campaign to raise public awareness about Lisl's conviction that many people in Colorado, after mature consideration, firmly declare is a miscarriage of justice. Numerous people question if Lisl is the victim of an unjust conviction. Through the medium of this web site and providing press packets to individuals and organizations in the justice and news community, we trust that the courts will judiciously re-examine this concern and ultimately set Lisl free. The primary purpose of the Lisl Auman Information Project is to encourage people to look at the facts in the Lisl Auman case for themselves. We feel that the public has been deceived by some people in the media about Lisl's involvement in the alleged burglary and subsequent slaying of Denver Police Officer Bruce VanderJagt. If the public was duly informed about the entirety of Lisl's case from the day of her arrest to the consistently reported final abstract, that "Lisl Auman was convicted of handing the gun to the skinhead so he could shoot the police officer," then how is it that a full year and half after Lisl's conviction and sentencing, the Sunday Edition - Denver Post Headlines could blare, "Hostage or Accomplice?" (04-20-2000) That Denver Post three-day, three-part investigative report, and several other important narratives published since Lisl's conviction have caused many people to question, as they should, every aspect of Lisl's case as it was reported in the aftermath frenzy of the so-called "Week of Hate." Now that several good people in the media have taken a special interest in Lisl's case and have continued to investigate the facts, it is very seldom printed that 'Lisl handed the gun,' or that 'Lisl steered the car so the skinhead could shoot at police.' The Lisl Auman Information Project endeavors to continue to illuminate the facts of Lisl's case and we ask that you go back and review the facts again, and check back regularly for updates from time to time. -- Become more informed. -- It is only through your continued vigilance that Lisl will be set Free of the captivity that she has unjustly had to endure since November 12, 1997. If anyone wishes to donate to the Information Project fund they can send contributions directly to Lisl Auman Information Project. You may also click here to contact us. You may also contact us for "Lisl" buttons, like those that were worn by Lisl's supporters at her hearing for a re-trial and during the sentencing session. Informational cards, buttons, and bumper stickers are also available. Lisl has asked us to let you know of her sincere gratitude to all of you who have stepped forward to help her in her quest for justice. She is awaiting the future with a renewed sense of hope thanks to all of your efforts. Back to Top |
